ABSTRACT

The 4th and 5th cataract of the river Nile has abundant archaeological remains dating back to the Middle Palaeolithic period. Despite its strategic location for researching hominid dispersal and early farming, the area hasn’t received enough focus. This paper aims to focus on the scope of geoarchaeological work that could be carried out here which can enhance our knowledge of human-environmental relationship.
