RESUMEN
Este capítulo es la segunda parte del publicado en el nº2 de esta revista y se centra en el fondo documental y cartográfico generado en el proceso de elaboración del Mapa Topográfico de España a escala 1:50.000 que el Instituto Geográfico realizó mediante topografía clásica entre 1870 y 1950 aproximadamente.

ABSTRACT:
This chapter is the second part of the one published in nº2 of this magazine. It focuses on the documentary and cartographic background generated in the process of elaborating the Topographic Map of Spain at a scale of 1: 50,000 that the Geographic Institute made through classical topography between 1870 and 1950.
